Is teaching genetic? Looking at my extended family, I think it might be. Not all teachers I see lead a traditional classroom, but they go about their days helping others gain knowledge, confidence, and skills.
Look Learning Center hosts space for students and teachers. We hope all students master reading and writing, build a solid math foundation for life, and learn how to learn. With those skills firmly in place, students can pursue any form of higher education that captures their imaginations.
We offer one-on-one tutoring and some group classes. We’re looking for other tutors and teachers that would like to share our space.
Current Group Classes:
The K2 Pod meets on Thursday mornings between 10 am and 1 pm. Each week, we tackle the three R’s as well as touching on other subjects as time allows. Last meeting of the 2024-2025 School Year: May 15th; Cost: $45 per Week, Multiple Child Discount: $35 Each
Reading Rescue meets on Tuesday evenings between 5:30 and 7 pm. It is designed for beginning readers up to about the third-grade level. Each week we enjoy a variety of activities that touch on the five components of the Science of Reading. Cost: $20 per Week. We meet throughout the summer too!
Starting April 19, we’ll begin meeting on Saturdays from 3:30pm to 5pm. Open to early elementary students, this class will learn a little bit of art history, a little bit of art technique, and make some amazing projects. On August 2nd, we’ll display some of our work in a community art show! Cost: $30 per Class.
Upcoming Classes
Kindergarten Readiness 2025-2026
Two-hour weekly class preparing students for kindergarten. We learn our letters, numbers, shapes, how to write our names, how to follow directions, how to make and be a friend, and so much more! We strengthen fingers with play dough and practice proper pencil grip. We jump and dance a lot. Watch for details! Cost: $30 per Week
K2 Pod 2025-2026
This class will be much the same as the current K2 Pod, but better. (Aren’t teachers always making adjustments?) Watch for details! Cost: $45 per Week, Multiple Child Discount: $35 Each
Look Learning Center can be found in Fountain City right off the Broadway exit at 3025 Sanders Dr. It shares a parking lot with Allegro Knoxville Music Studio.
